In 1905, not only was Pat born in Italy, it was also the year Ernest Uebersax arrived in Baltimore as an immigrant from Switzerland. In April 1913, as Pat was about to arrive in NY, Ernest married Alvena and together they started their first bakery. Changes happened, but in 1927—just before Pat relocated to Baltimore—they opened Fenwick Bakery on Fenwick Ave.
In 1952, the business was handed over to their children and this was where Ruth & Jim ordered their wedding cake in 1964. In 1971 the bakery moved to 7219 Harford Rd, which is where Ruth & Dave found it on their visit in March 2022.
